If you've used retirement planning tools like FIREproof for any amount of time, you'll find yourself wondering "What would this specific scenario look like with 1 different assumption?". Or you might be using our What-if panel to see if an extended bout of bad equity performance would kill your retirement plans. Well, we're just now releasing a better way to visualize some of these comparisons.

For Pro users only, you'll see the Compare Sims button on the sidebar.

Clicking on that will pop-up a view with 2 dropdown menus to allow you to choose which 2 (for now) simulations you want to compare. After selecting your simulations, you'll be presented with a condensed version of the main output page to make your conclusions. The simulations will be labeled with different colors, will show their respective names, and will have their success rates visible.

What's next?

As the note on the comparison page suggests, this is just the first iteration of this. I want to include more comparison metrics, and the ability to do more than 2 simulations. This project is currently in Beta, but I'm including a subscription for a "Pro" version. Pro users will be the first to see new features, and will have a limited set of features available only to them.
